OPEN CALL for upcoming project

You are a creative, artist, musician, poet, songwriter, lyricist and/or singer?

What is the project about?

For me the most important aspect in my life and in my work is the connection with other humans. The listening to, collecting and telling of stories has always been the most meaningful and most beautiful for me. This has given me strength with my identity, life choices and art making. Working together on projects with other artists and non-artists has given me a place to be myself. I would love this project to be beautiful and challenging space to expand artisitic expression in poetry, songwriting, music and performance.

Is the project paid?

Yes, the final five project participants will be compensated with 750 EUR.

How will the selection process be?

1st step: Application via Email.

2nd step: The first batch of people will be selected in a casual getting-to-know-each-other in Berlin (30 mins - 1 hour).

3rd step: The selected applicants for the Recall will be participating in a half-day-workshop (5 hours) with all the applicants or in sub-groups.

4th step: Five applicants will be selected for the participation in the project.

What exactly will happen in the project?

The group of five + artist Luki will work together on songwriting, music making.The project consists of a workshop with artist couple EVA & ADELE.

The project is seen as an open-minded experimental platform and the end result is still open. 

I would like to tell stories of inspiration and empowerment and the power of music, arts and performance.

What do I have to do to apply?

Email your application (preferably in German language, if you speak German. If not in English) to biggestinspiration@luki.love and include the following: Name, pronouns, a photo of yourself, age, location (for August/September), interests, profession in one/several of these categories: musician, poet, songwriters, lyricist and/or singer, include your level of expertise/skills/etc in these categories and tell me what makes you interested in a collaborative project like this?

I live outside of NRW or in Berlin, can I still apply?

Please send your application and we get back to you. We have a budget for travelling.

What's the overview of the dates?

Note: The production of the work will happen in Berlin 

Workshops/Working together: 6-8 days between August 27 and Sept 28 (except Sep 20-25)

The dates are still a bit flexible, so if you are not available on some dates please apply anyway and mention your availabilities (weekdays/weekends) in the email.

Who is Luki von der Gracht?

I am an 28-year-old artist based between Berlin and Düsseldorf working with different media: From my visual arts works to performance everything is connected. With my band "Die Hässlichen Vögel" I have found my love to song writing and live performance. To see some of our music work click on the category "Die Hässlichen Vögel" on the right. With this new project I am interested to dig deeper into song writing, making music together and performing for a live audience.
